Step 1: Goals – Create a financial plan

When you look into the future, next year, three years, five years and 10 years from now, do you like where you’re heading?

Knowing where to start is often the biggest hurdle. But realising you need to make a change is a great first step. If you’re lacking motivation to make the change, you need to get so uncomfortable with where you are today and where you are heading that it’s an absolute must for you that you make a change.

We will often do more for others than we will ourselves, so look at your compelling reasons why, why you want you change, and magnify these reasons, make them so compelling it excites you or scares you.

A proven plan will get you started no matter where you’re coming from, where you are now, or where you’re going. There’s no better time than right now to get a plan and get on track.

When our values are aligned, we have happiness

For over 20 years, I have helped individuals develop plans to put them on a track for happiness.  That’s right, happiness, because when our values are aligned, we have happiness.  You don’t want £1m, you can’t eat it, cuddle it or get pleasure from it, you want what money will give you.  It’s what money will provide that’s important to us, not money itself.

Our values in life are what are important to us, so if we align our Financial Plan with our values, we will by default achieve happiness.

You have a choice take charge of your future, or allow others to take charge of it for you.  You either live your life, or you will live someone else’s life, which will it be?
